This Privacy Policy explains how Petralogix Engineering Inc (“Petralogix,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use PetraMapper (the “Service”), an offline-first field mapping application for mines, mineral claims, and geology.

PetraMapper is a field tool, so location is central to how it works. With your device's permission, we use your GPS position to place features, follow your position on the map, and lay out survey lines. Map imagery and geology layers can be cached on your device for offline use. Location coordinates are saved as part of the field features you create and are stored on your device and, when you are signed in, synced to your account. We do not sell your location data.
We use a single first-party session cookie (named fg.sid) to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
We share information only with providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed:
These providers process data under their own terms; we do not authorize them to use your field data for their own purposes.
We keep your account and field data for as long as your account is active. Throwaway “guest” sessions are automatically deleted after a short period. When you delete your account (see below), we remove your personal data and cancel any active subscription.
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights. To exercise them, contact dkramer@petralogix.com.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including password hashing and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
The Service is operated from the United States. If you use it from outside the U.S., you understand that your data will be processed in the U.S.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes may be communicated in the app.
